Clocking in at 79 grams and extra feisty
So there will be twice daily oral medications (he doesn’t like them, but it’s fairly easy on a bird since they get annoyed and bite things stuck in their face). We still don’t know what was wrong with him, so I bought a digital kitchen scale and will weigh the little guy. Fortunately he’s pretty good about that part.
But to see the look that sealed the deal for me to spend gobs of money making sure this moment happened, click here.

YAY for the little bird. I remember having to weight for results and all that stuff — and I always thought of the worst case scenario when my dog was sick. Happy to hear Squeak is doing better!!!

Carole, you’re welcome to email me, but I hope you have a board-certified avian vet looking after your ‘tiel first and foremost. Best wishes, and I hope you have a happy ending as I did.

I hope you threw out all the pellets and put your bird on a fresh diet – they are not telling us the truth about pellets, which are the cause of so much illness in birds. If you want to know the best way to feed your bird, try the FeedingFeathers list on yahoo.
